SBI Clerk photo, signature, thumb & handwritten declaration sizes
Last updated: 31 August 2026
SBI Junior Associate / Clerk forms usually need four images, not just a photo. This guide covers typical KB bands, pixel sizes, and how to prepare each file without rejection.

The four uploads most candidates forget
Unlike many SSC-style forms that only ask for photo and signature, SBI Clerk applications typically require:
- Photograph
- Signature
- Left thumb impression
- Handwritten declaration
Missing or wrong-size declaration is one of the most common last-minute failures. Prepare all four before you start fee payment.
Typical size table (confirm the advertisement PDF)
- Photo: ~200 × 230 px · 20–50 KB · JPG · recent colour, light background
- Signature: ~140 × 60 px · 10–20 KB · JPG · black ink on white (not CAPITAL letters)
- Left thumb: ~240 × 240 px · 20–50 KB · JPG · clear ridges (right thumb if left unavailable)
- Handwritten declaration: ~800 × 400 px · 50–100 KB · JPG · English, black ink, running hand
Use the combined tools on sizetokb.in/sbi-clerk/ or the dedicated declaration and thumb pages.
Photograph
Crop to a passport-style portrait before you compress. Open the Photo tool on the SBI Clerk page, hit the 20–50 KB band, Free Download. Avoid selfies with busy backgrounds — they waste bytes and look informal on a bank form.
Signature
Sign once on white paper. Crop tightly. Compress to 10–20 KB with the Signature tool or Signature cleaner. Do not use a stylised font or a photo of your whole desk.
Left thumb impression
Press the left thumb on white paper with stamp pad ink (or a clear impression), photograph in even light, crop square, and compress to 20–50 KB. Ridges should be visible — a solid black blob fails quality checks.
Handwritten declaration (50–100 KB)
Write the declaration text from the SBI advertisement in your own handwriting on white paper, in English, with black ink, not in CAPITAL LETTERS. Scan or photograph at a high enough resolution that every word is readable, then crop to about 800×400 and compress into 50–100 KB.
If the file is under 50 KB and gets rejected as too small, use a slightly larger crop or the Min KB padder after checking the official rule. If it is over 100 KB, tighten the crop and recompress with the declaration tool.
Common rejection patterns
- Declaration typed in Word and screenshotted
- Signature in all caps
- Uploading the same photo file into the signature slot
- WhatsApp recompression after Free Download
- Using an old photo that no longer matches your current face
